Most Beautiful Cherry Blossom Areas in Forza Horizon 6

If you have been spending any time exploring Japan in Forza Horizon 6, you already know how stunning the map looks. But if you want to experience the absolute peak of the game’s visuals, you need to wait until the season rotates to Spring. When Spring hits, the map transforms, and the iconic sakura trees completely steal the show.

Playground Games clearly put a ton of love into how the cherry blossoms look this year. In fact, if you've tried to plow your supercar through a row of them, you probably noticed something unique: while you can smash through almost all the regular trees in the game, the cherry blossoms are entirely indestructible. The devs made them solid objects out of cultural respect for the real-life trees, which means hitting one will stop your car dead in its tracks.

So, if you want to avoid hitting an invisible wall and instead just want to enjoy a scenic cruise or take some incredible shots in Photo Mode, here are the absolute best cherry blossom spots you need to visit.

1. Hirosaki Castle Grounds

If you only go to one spot on this list, make it Hirosaki Castle. This is the ultimate "hanami" (cherry blossom viewing) location on the map. The traditional black-and-white castle structure is surrounded by massive, dense groves of pink sakura trees. If you love drifting, sliding around the outer moats while the screen fills up with a constant flurry of falling pink petals looks absolutely incredible.

2. Ginkgo Avenue & The Tokyo Suburbs

In real life, Ginkgo Avenue is famous for its bright yellow leaves in the autumn, but the game takes some creative liberty here during the Spring season. This avenue, along with the outer residential streets of the Tokyo mini-map, features perfectly lined corridors of cherry blossoms. Driving down these roads creates a beautiful, solid pink canopy over your car, making it a great spot for rolling shots.

3. The Over-Tunnel Hidden Path

This is a spot that the community's virtual photographers have been sharing like crazy, and it is easy to see why. If you look for the hidden trail located directly above one of the major highway tunnels, you will find a great secret spot. Taking the ridge path up leads you to a single, isolated cherry blossom tree, which is perfect if you want a clean, minimalist portrait of your car. If you keep driving just a few meters further down that same trail, it opens up into a tightly enclosed circle of sakura trees that perfectly frames your vehicle.

4. Mt. Fuji Foothills & Sengen Shrine Route

For the ultimate postcard shot, you want a photo that captures both the blossoms and the most iconic landmark in the country. Head down to the lower winding trails near the base of Mt. Fuji. The pathways that wind up toward the local shrines are lined with huge, ancient cherry blossom trees. If you line up your camera right, the vibrant pink of the blossoms provides a stunning contrast against the massive, snow-capped peak of the mountain in the background.
